At a star-studded event held at New York City's famed Times Square hotel, The Marriott Marquis, The American Women in Radio And Television named Live in Concert the 2009 national winner of the Gracie Award for Outstanding Special Program. Accepting the award was the host of the show, Lisa Berigan.
"This is truly an honor for our show that's only been on the air for about a year now. We'd like to thank all our affiliates around the country- especially our very first affiliate, WBIG in Washington, D.C. Program Directors Dan Michaels and Bill Hess were instrumental in getting the show on the air."
Other winners included Kathy Griffin, Amy Poehler, Rachel Ray, Katie Couric, Suze Orman, and Dr. Maya Angelou.
